Private villa with pool: Anna Maria Island, Florida

The Island...

Beaches:

Anna Maria Island offers miles and miles of white pristine sand beaches, watersports and boating. Fascinating marine life including Dolphins and Manatees at close hand. Fishing from your boat or from the two quaint wooden piers.

Shopping:

Anna Maria has a small shopping mall and Publix supermarket along with Boutique shops , antique shops , galleries , clothing stores, and gift shops. It is just a short drive (20 minutes from the villa ) to the mainland where you will find anything from Walmart to Home Depot and larger shopping malls

Eating out:

Anna Maria offers an amazing variety of restaurants on the island to suit all culinary tastes.

If you like fresh seafood and want to sit on the beach at sunset, then the Sandbar or the Beach House are recommended.  Or walk to the bay front, the Waterfront Restaurant at the Bay View Plaza is for you 5 minutes from the villa.

For wonderful funky fun, take a chance and go to Mr. Bones in Holmes Beach  where you choose your beer from a coffin in the reception area.

Anna Maria has it all, from the famous Duffy’s burgers to the ultra elegant meals served at the award winning Beach Bistro... or Rotten Ralph’s  down at the boat yard.

On the mainland, a short 15 minute drive over the causeway, you will find all your favourite restaurants: Applebees, Outback Steakhouse, Pizza Hut and of course McDonalds and KFC - There really is something for everyone!

Family fun:

Visit Mote Marine on Longboat Key, or go and see Snooty the Manatee at the Parker Manatee Aquarium, part of the South Florida Museum and Bishop Planetarium. Sarasota and Tampa and Busch Gardens Theme Park are all within a one hour drive.

Selby Botanical Gardens - home of world class orchids - is a wonderful way to spend a day, but maybe just relax and watch the birds or the dolphins at play in the gulf... Anna Maria Island offers lots of choices.

Entertainment:

Just about every weekend Anna Maria Island has something going on - whether an art festival, flea market, or the privateers smoking mullet in a parking lot.

Many of the islands restaurants and bars offer evening entertainment, Rotten Ralph’s, DeCoy Ducks, reggae on the beach patio of the Sandbar and at many waterfront restaurants.
